Centennial High School student Andrew Wash got the unique opportunity to be part of the recent NCAA basketball Tournament at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Andrew was selected to be a ball boy and worked a total of four games during the tournament. His responsibilities included shagging balls during warm-ups and keeping moisture off the court during the games.
With a crowd of 10,000 spectators in the stands, Andrew admits he was a little nervous at first but the nerves quickly faded once he began the task at hand. When asked about his once in a lifetime experience, Andrew simply replied, "That was awesome!"
Andrew is a big fan of sports. He currently plays for the Special Olympics basketball and swim teams of Middle Tennessee. He is also a manager for the Centennial hockey team.
