Williamson County, Centennial High School- home of the Cougars - has joined the Healthy Vending Revolution! Christy Sykes, owner of Healthy Vending Tennessee, has been installing Fresh Healthy Vending machines in local schools and businesses  in Williamson County and Nashville.  Centennial High School is the first Williamson County School to join the revolution.  Sykes say "kids are more aware of healthier food options that ever before" and she wants to make those options available in and out of school.  Sykes has children in Williamson County Schools and she feels the best place to start change is at home.  The machines contain all-natural and organic options of drinks and snacks - and with over 500 items to choose from there is a machine to fit any locations needs.

Fresh Healty Vending has come to Tennessee.  Christy Sykes is the owner and operator of the Tennessee Franchise.  She started the business after her daughter, Sadie Sykes, purchased a product from a vending machine at a local soccer arena.  Sykes says "Vending machines are a necessary evil.  We are an on the go nation.  Why can't quick convenient snacks also be heatly".  After some research Sykes found Fresh Healthy Vending - a Franchise based out of San Diego.  These machines offer organic and all natural snacks - the same types of products you would find on the shelves at a Whole Foods Market.  The machines are also dual-controlled so you can have snacks and drinks in one machine.  The machines accept cash and credit cards - not your typical vending machine. 

Sykes says placing these machines at fitness facilities and schools makes sense.  They are promoting health and wellness.  She has also placed machines at corporate offices that are making changes to promote health and wellness with their employees.  Healthy changes within corporate offices tend to lead to lower health care cost for an organization.
