A recent battle between high schools will benefit dozens of local families. Students at Centennial and Franklin high schools recently competed in their annual canned food drive. Centennial High won the competition, collecting nearly 8,000 pounds of food. Together, the two schools accumulated nearly 13,000 pounds of food.
Centennial was presented with a trophy during halftime of the September 2 football game with Franklin. The donated items will be given to Graceworks and distributed to local families in need.
