
Coming up in a couple weeks is another terrific baseball camp at Showtime Sports Academy! Winter Workout Camp will be starting October 18th. Anyone ages 6-14 is able to join. It will be twice a week for five weeks, on Tuesday and Thursday nights. The camp is designed to help players with the fundamentals of the game, such as: sliding, hitting, throwing, fielding, baserunning, and pitching. One unique aspect of this camp is that all the instructors are either former or current professional players. Camp will last from 5:30-7:30 PM. If you are a member, the cost is $245. If you are not a member it will be $295. Not a bad price for such a helpful camp!

SOCCER PERFORMANCE SUMMER CAMP
At Talon Performance Training & Rehabilitation, we know soccer, and we know the training it takes to play and succeed at the highest level. Our Soccer Peformance Summer Camp uses the performance methodology of
Talon PTR and incorporates the use of a ball in the various dynamic movements. Talon PTR aims to increase the overall athletic ability of our athletes as well as their skill level on the ball, allowing our athletes to stand out above all others as elite soccer players. The Soccer Performance Camp is a great introduction to the type of traiining that is required to reach the next level. The camp is designed for all travel players age 11-14.
EARLY REGISTRATION DISCOUNT: Register by Monday, June 13th and the cost for the 4 day Soccer Skills & Performance Training camp is $190. After June 13th: $220. Camp fee includes a camp t-shirt.

On the Ball Skills
An aspect of training that players can never have enough of. Touches on the ball every day are the biggest difference between the average youth player and the world’s best players. If and how you take those touches is up to you, but here at Talon PTR, our staff have the experience at all levels to make sure those touches are in the right direction to becoming the elite soccer player. The skills portion of the training will be conducted on the indoor soccer field next door at Showtime Sports Academy.
Strength & Power Foundation
While we cannot make an athlete stronger and more powerful in 4 days, we can begin to build a foundation, and this is the perfect age to build a solid foundation. During the camp, they will be taught the movements that are needed to safely and efficiently build strength & power. Athletes who have been training with us who already posess a good foundation will be challenged accordingly.
Agility, Speed, and Quickness
AS&Q is directly correlated with power: the stronger and more powerful an athlete becomes, the better control he/she will have over his/her body, and the more agile they become. While power takes time and proper training to develop, proper technique is also required in the agility movements. The athletes will be taught proper technique during the camp, both with and without a soccer ball at their feet.
Tactical "Chalk Talk" and Nutrition Discussions
During our lunch/recovery break in the camp, we will have activities pertaining to the tactical aspect of the game of soccer, as well nutirition discusions, such as what to eat, and when to eat it for optimal performance and recovery.
Small-sided Games
We will conclude each day with the best part of the game of soccer, and that is the game of soccer itself. Smallsided games will be played on the indoor soccer field next door at Showtime Sports Academy
