Williamson Recycles will host its Annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program beginning Monday, December 26, 2011.This year the program will offer 18 drop-off locations.
“We encourage all Williamson County who celebrate the holidays by using a Christmas tree to participate in our tree recycling program,” said Shannon Hopkins, Recycling Specialist for Williamson Recycles.
Williamson County residents who participate in the Christmas Tree Recycling Program should plan to drop off only clean trees during operating hours. All tree stands, nails, staples, ornaments, and lights need to be removed before drop-off.
The Parks Department has three designated locations for Brentwood residents to drop off their live Christmas trees after the holidays. The three locations are (click on link for park location information):
- Crockett Park (parking lot behind the Cool Springs House)
- River Park
- Granny White Park
Only trees from homeowners are accepted. Disposal of unsold trees from commercial tree lots is prohibited.
IMPORTANT: Please remove all ornaments, lights, tree stands, wires, hangars, etc. from the tree prior to disposal.
