The award-winning Williamson County Community Band is preparing for the 2012 concert season and you are invited to join in the fun!

If you play or formerly played any musical instrument, the community band is a great way to express your talent. Sponsored by the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department, the community band has performed at Franklin on the Fourth, the Main Street Festival, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, local Memorial Day tributes and numerous other free local concerts since 2001. In 2012, the band’s schedule includes a special April concert in the historic Franklin Theatre.

Rehearsals are held in the band room of Franklin High School, 810 Hillsboro Road, on Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. You may join at any time.

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is a public organization, here to benefit the community. Anyone may register for and participate in the department’s programs, teams, classes and events.
